well yeah, the book on th1rteen r3asons why by jay asher shows only shows one significant symbolism that could be described.

yes, the tapes.
yes, the thirteen little tapes that held everything she felt, touched, heard, saw, cried and screamed about before she died.
these tapes held everything she ever wanted to talk about and wanted to let out and that symbolized her hate, anger and as well as her living nightmares, the thirteen significant people that held a role in her suicide. i believe the tapes are the main symbolism in the entire novel because it showed the beginning of something bigger than her own.
something more explosive then just her emotions and sadistic view about life.
something bigger than herself that it held to past on to let it live on like a little nightmare that seem to haunt everybody that it touches...
